What Is This? (First Year - Age 27)

Here's the low-down:

When I turned 27 (June 25th 2014) I decided to do a big project.

This is that project.

The first year, I promised myself and the universe that I would do the following things before I turned 28 (June 25th 2015):
  • Post on this blog once everyday
  • Draw a picture everyday
  • Write a haiku everyday
  • Create a creative project from Noah Scalin's 365 project book everyday, loosely following the guidelines he puts forward
I would also accomplish a series of tasks:
  • Run 1,000 miles (revised to 750 miles due to the worst winter on record in Boston and a knee injury. The remaining miles we outsourced by friends and family who donated to the cause!)
  • Do 10,000 push-ups and sit-ups
  • Read 10,000 pages
  • Complete 25 books
  • Write 100,000 words
And because I'm insane, I also agreed to a series of fasts where I don't partake in a thing for 100 days (not in a row, thank goodness.) These are the things:
  • Meat
  • Junk Food
  • Alcohol
  • Internet (Junk Sites)
  • Video Gaming
  • TV
I updated on the fasts and tasks every Wednesday.
