I miss the drawings. There's a big stack of them in the closet, lifeless and amassing dust.
There's this moment during my morning commute where I think, "Today, I will stay on the train. Today, I will go places and learn and write and grow into the great adventurer I was destined to be. Today, I will follow my instincts and shut off the mind and live freely for the first time in years." I thought it was because my old job stunk. But apparently it's just a part of me. My wife and I joke about going into the wilderness and building a home. It's less of a joke everyday.

Haiku of the Day:
Little yellow traps
stop the fungus gnats spreading
to all our house plants
