Fizzle Base

Brilliant bulb flickers syncopate - dusk. midday. twilight. dawn.
Her insect buzz purrs with metallic comfort
And the concrete holds a tacky skin of decades
of paint coats, softening the false brick outlines
that etch the basement wall.
This is the severe pound.
The urban pulse of toxic electricity
through copper veins, erosion through alignment
Sterile plastic taste
The assaulting stench of ozone
This is home, in tight loops, stapled fibers
adhered to stone underfoot
Life collections ball husks and flakes
into tiny lattices of once organic matter
reminiscent of the formation of stars and planets
from raw substance and eddies in gravity.

Haiku of the Day:
Swirling wind vortex
cuts my face and throat with swift
ice crystals of death

Today's Drawing (inspired by the word "Indoctrinate" choked down our throats by the powers at be.)

Today's "365" Project (murmurs in the dark. JK. Make something out of duct tape.)
