Meta-Game

Day Four for Imaginary Life Two, Board Game Designer:

Had some old friends from college and Baltimore in for the weekend. Naturally, we played a bunch of board games. Something interesting came out of it:

One of the players was purposefully screwing over one other player in particular. This created an immediate discord because it caused everyone's strategy to shift. Sometimes this happens when I play with my wife, as we tend to have more experience with the games we're playing, and it creates an unintended slant to the game as a whole. I'm curious if there might be a way to create this as part of a game...or to create a sort of meta-game for gamers to play when they're playing a game night: Sort of like king's cup where certain rules are created during the course of the game that don't have much to do with the actually game itself.

And yes, this does mean I might very well create a Board Game: The Board Game game.
